Abuse of office

A public officer or a member of the Cayman Islands Parliament who intentionally does, or directs to be done, in abuse of the authority of their office, any arbitrary act prejudicial to the rights of another person commits an offence and is liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term of four years.
If a public officer or a member of the Cayman Islands Parliament intentionally does, or directs to be done, the act under subsection (1) for the purposes of a loan, reward, advantage or other benefit, the public officer or the member of Parliament commits an offence and is liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term of five years.
