Offences relating to the card database

A person shall not intentionally —
introduce or cause to be introduced, any virus, malware or other computer contaminant in the card database;
cause damage to the card database or information in the card database;
disrupt the proper functioning of the card database;
cause an unauthorized modification of information to be made to an entry in the card database; or
prevent or delay the access or retrieval of relevant information from a computer used for the purposes of this Act.
A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on conviction on indictment to a fine of forty thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term of eight years, or to both.
