The Governor in Cabinet may conduct, or assist other persons in conducting, research into any matter connected with —
its functions, or the functions of the Department or the Education Department under the enactments mentioned in subsection (8); or
the adoption of children.
The Department and the Education Department, acting jointly, may conduct, or assist other persons in conducting, research into any matter connected with —
their functions under the enactments mentioned in subsection (8); or
the adoption of children.
The Department and the Education Department shall, at such times and in such form as the Governor may direct, transmit to it such particulars as it may require with respect to —
the performance by the Department or the Education Department of all or any of their functions under the enactments mentioned in subsection (8); and
the children in relation to whom the departments have exercised those functions.
Every voluntary organisation shall, at such times and in such form as the Governor in Cabinet may direct, transmit to it such particulars as it may require with respect to children accommodated by them.
The Governor in Cabinet may direct each court to which the direction under subsection (4) is expressed to relate to transmit —
to such person as may be specified in the direction; and
at such times and in such form as it may direct; such particulars as it may require with respect to proceedings of the court which relate to children.
The Governor in Cabinet may institute research designed to provide information on which requests for information under this section may be based.
The Governor in Cabinet shall keep under review the adequacy of the provision of child care training and for that purpose shall receive and consider any information from or representations made by —
such representatives of the Department as appear to it to be appropriate; or
such other persons or organisations as appear to it to be appropriate, concerning the provision of such training.
The enactments referred to under this section are this Law and the Youth Justice Law (2005 Revision).
