Registration and regulation of voluntary homes

A voluntary home shall not be carried on unless it is registered in a register to be kept for the purposes of this section by the Governor in Cabinet.
The register may be kept by means of a computer.
In this Law "voluntary home" means any home or other institution providing care and accommodation for children which is carried on by a voluntary organisation but does not include —
a nursing home, mental nursing home or residential care home
a school;
any community home;
any home or other institution provided, equipped and maintained by the Government; or
any home which is exempted by regulations made for the purposes of this section by the Governor in Cabinet.
Schedule 5 has effect for the purpose of supplementing the provisions of this Part.
