Who may bring and conduct criminal proceedings

Criminal proceedings in respect of an offence against this Law shall not, without the written consent of the Director of Public Prosecutions, be instituted by any person other than the Governor or by an officer or other person duly authorized by the Governor in that behalf.
A prosecution for an offence against this Law may be conducted before a court of summary jurisdiction by an officer duly authorized by the Governor in that behalf.
In this section "officer" means —
an officer of Her Majesty's armed forces; or
any officer of the Regiment.
