Use of premises, equipment, etc.: assisted and independent schools

The Minister may enter into an agreement with the governing body of an assisted school or independent school for the use of the premises, equipment and facilities of that school other than for the purposes of education.
Without limiting the generality of the powers contained in subsection (1), the Minister may provide for —
the premises to be available outside normal school hours to be used for meetings, social functions and other activities beneficial to the community in which the school is situated;
the premises to be available for use in connection with elections conducted under the Elections Act (2022 Revision);
the fees which may be charged in connection with use and for the recovery of expenses; and
the health and safety of persons using the premises and for the protection of the equipment and facilities on the premises.
