Registration of teachers

The Cabinet may make regulations as to the qualifications, registration and de-registration of teachers in schools.
No person may be employed to work as a teacher in any school unless the person is registered in accordance with the regulations.
The Chief Officer shall establish and maintain a register of teachers authorised to teach in schools.
The Education Council may, subject to the procedures specified in subsection (1), require the removal from the register of the name of any person whose conduct or lack of suitability in any other respect renders the person unfit to continue to be registered as a teacher.
