Findings of adultery and paternity as evidence in civil proceedings

53. (1) In civil proceedings, the fact that a person has been —
found to have committed adultery in a matrimonial or a civil partnership proceeding before any court in the Islands; or
adjudged to be the father of a child in affiliation proceedings before any court in the Islands, is, subject to subsection (3), admissible in evidence for the purpose of proving, where to do so is relevant to any issue in those proceedings, that the person committed the adultery to which the finding relates, or as the case may be, is (or Evidence Act (2021 Revision)
