7. The Director shall — Financial Assistance Act, 2022 Section 8 c Act 10 of 2022 Page 11
be responsible for the administration and implementation of this Act;
be responsible for the management and supervision of the Department;
advise the Minister generally on the management and administration of the funds appropriated by the Parliament for the purpose of providing financial assistance; and
inquire generally into the condition of persons in need of financial assistance and advise the Minister on evidence-based best practice, policies and strategies relating to financial assistance in the Islands.
