Chief Fire Officer's powers

The Chief Fire Officer, in the course of carrying out his duties, shall have towards the general public, powers equivalent to the Commissioner in the carrying out of his duties and shall take precedence over the Commissioner when he is engaged in fighting a fire which has not been brought under control or in carrying out any of his duties falling within the scope of paragraphs (e) and (f) of section 5.
