Maintenance of records

Every public authority shall maintain its records in a manner which facilitates access to information under this Act and in accordance with the code of practice provided for in subsection (3).
Repealed by section 28(a) of the Freedom of Information (Amendment) Act, 2018 [Law 31 of 2018].
The Deputy Governor shall, after consultation with interested parties and upon the recommendation of the Director of the National Archive, issue from time to time a code, which shall contain the practices relating to the keeping, management and disposal of records, as well as the transfer of records to the National Archive.
