Use of identification code

A registered person may use that person's identification code for the purpose of authenticating that person's identity, including by electronic means, for the purpose of —
accessing goods or services provided by the Government or the private sector; or
any other purpose for which the authentication of the individual's identity is required.
The identification code may be used, held or maintained by a private entity or public authority for any of the purposes referred to under section 3(1) and in accordance with this Act.
