Registrar to implement security measures

The Registrar shall take all necessary measures —
to protect the information in the possession or control of the Registrar, including information stored in the register; and
to ensure that the information is secured and protected against —
use not permitted under this Act; and
accidental or intentional destruction, loss or damage.
Without prejudice to subsection (1), the Registrar shall —
adopt and implement appropriate technological and manual security measures to safeguard the confidentiality of the register; and
require the —
entities;
consultants;
advisors; or
other legal or natural persons, appointed to, or engaged by, the Registrar to perform or facilitate any of the Registrar's duties under this Act, to implement appropriate technical and organisational security and such other measures aimed at safeguarding the confidentiality of the register.
