Power to appoint chairman

Where, under any Law, power is given to the Governor in Council, to the Governor or to any public officer or body to appoint any board, tribunal, commission, committee or similar body, it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council, the Governor or such public officer or body, in the absence of any provision to the contrary, to appoint a chairman of such board, tribunal, commission, committee or similar body.
