Surrender of lease

A mining lease may, with the consent of the Governor and on payment of the prescribed fee, be surrendered either in whole or in part at any time after six months' notice in writing has been given to the Governor of the intention to surrender, and such surrender shall be in the prescribed form:
such surrender shall not affect any liability incurred by the holder before such surrender takes effect, and no rent shall be refunded.
