Contracts not void on account of offences

Where a pawnbroker is guilty of an offence (not being an offence relating to licences), any contract of pawn or other contract made by him in relation to his business of pawnbroker shall nevertheless not be void by reason only of that offence, nor shall he by reason only of that offence lose his lien on or right to the pledge or to the loan and profit; but nothing in this section shall restrict the operation of any provision of this Law providing for the delivery of any goods and chattels, or the restoration of any linen, apparel, unfinished goods, materials or article to the owner, under the order of a Judge or any Court.
