Making or having in possession paper or implements of forgery

303. A person who, without lawful authority or excuse, the proof of which is on that person —
makes, uses or knowingly has in that person’s custody or possession any paper intended to resemble and pass as a special paper such as is provided and used for the making of any bank note or currency note;
makes, uses or knowingly has in that person’s custody or possession any frame, mould or instrument for making such paper, or for producing in or on such paper any words, figures, letters, marks, lines or devices peculiar to or used in or on any such paper;
engraves or in any way makes upon any plate, wood, stone or other material any words, figures, letters, marks, lines or devices, the print whereof resembles in whole or in part any words, figures, letters, marks, lines or defaces peculiar to and used in or on any bank or currency note;
uses or knowingly has in that person’s custody or possession any plate, wood, stone or other material upon which any such words, figures, letters, marks, lines or devices have been engraved or in anyway made as aforesaid; or
uses or knowingly has in that person’s custody or possession any paper upon which such words, figures, letters, marks, lines or devices have been printed or in any way made as aforesaid,
commits an offence and is liable to imprisonment for seven years.
