Imported vehicles to be inspected before use on the road

A vehicle or trailer imported into the Islands shall, before being used on a road, be taken from the point of import direct to —
a vehicle inspector;
a public garage;
a licensed vehicle dealer; or
the residence of the owner and then direct to a vehicle inspector, for examination, and no such vehicle shall be used further on the road, except by a vehicle inspector for testing purposes, until a vehicle inspector has certified the vehicle to be fit for use on the road.
