Production of certificate of insurance on application for vehicle licence

A person applying for a licence in respect of a vehicle under the Traffic Law, 2011 [Law 26 of 2011] shall attach to the application a certificate of insurance in his name, in the name of an insured who has included the applicant as a driver of that vehicle for purposes of insurance or in the name of both, or shall produce such evidence as may be prescribed by regulations that —
on the date when the licence comes into operation there will be in force the necessary policy of insurance in relation to the user of the vehicle by the applicant or any other persons on his order or with his permission; or
the vehicle is a vehicle to which this Law does not apply.
