Composition of Committee

The Committee shall consist of the following members appointed by Cabinet —
a representative from the legal profession;
a representative from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service;
a public officer recommended by the Minister;
three other members recommended by the Minister;
a member recommended by the Leader of the Opposition;
the Commandant shall be ex-officio and shall have no vote on the Committee; and
the officer serving as the Training Officer of the Cadet Corps shall be ex-officio and shall have no vote on the Committee.
The Cabinet shall appoint, from among the members of the Committee, a Chairperson who shall be an honorary Colonel, and a Vice Chairperson.
