Appointment of consultants and experts

The Chief Officer may appoint consultants and experts to assist the Ministry, Portfolio, Department or Agency, as the case may be, in the performance of its functions.
The consultants and experts appointed under subsection (1) shall be paid such remuneration as the relevant Chief Officer may approve.
Any remuneration paid pursuant to subsection (2) shall be paid out of the annual operating budget of the Department.
