Where at the date of commencement of the the Evidence (Amendment) Act, 2018 [Law 30 of 2018], any trial or any proceedings in respect of an offence pending before a court, the trial or proceedings shall, on and after that date, be dealt with in all respects under this Act (irrespective of when the offence was committed) and the provisions of this Act are to apply accordingly.
