Special provisions relating to Firearm Disposal Permit

The appropriate authority, on the application of any person who the authority is satisfied is the owner or is acting with the authority of the owner of any firearm, shall grant to such applicant a Firearm Disposal Permit authorising the holder thereof within thirty days of the grant of such permit to give away or to sell, subject to the provisions of this Act, the firearm specified in such permit.
