The Ombudsman shall, as soon as practicable after the end of each year, lay before the Cayman Islands Parliament —
a report of the operation of this Act during the year, containing the matters specified in subsection (2) and may from time to time submit such other reports as that person thinks appropriate; and
audited accounts.
The matters referred to in subsection (1) are those relating to compliance by the Ombudsman’s office with this Act and otherwise relating to the activities of that person’s offices including but not limited to —
the number of applications for access received, granted, deferred, refused or granted subject to deletions;
the categories of exemptions claimed and the numbers of each category; or
Repealed by section 20(b) of the Freedom of Information (Amendment) Act, 2018 [Law 31 of 2018].
the number of —
applications for internal review of relevant decisions; or
appeals against relevant decisions, and the rate of success or failure thereof.
A public authority shall from time to time and in any case by the end of the year send to the Ombudsman a written report containing the details contained in subsection (2) to the extent that such information is in their custody or control.
