Exclusion of liability when acting in pursuance of consent or authority

Subject to subsection (2), where —
a person carries out a procedure; and
a consent or authority given under this Act is sufficient authority under this Act for that person to carry out that procedure,
that person is not liable to any other person in respect of anything done or omitted to be done by that first-mentioned person in the carrying out of that procedure.
Nothing in this section relieves a person from liability for negligence in respect of anything done or omitted to be done by that person in the carrying out of a procedure.
