Prohibition against taking fees from assisted person

An assigned attorney-at-law shall not take or agree to take or seek from an assisted person or from any other person any fee, profit or reward, pecuniary or otherwise in respect of any work done for or on behalf of the assisted person after the issue of a certificate or contract and which is included within the scope of that certificate or contract.
An attorney-at-law who fails to comply with subsection (1) commits an offence against this Law and is liable to be disciplined under the Legal Practitioners Law (2012 Revision).
