Functions of Commission: Quasi-judicial

The functions of the Commission shall be to —
hear and determine appeals made under sections 6(3), 8(4) and 9(5) of the Mental Health Act (2023 Revision);
conduct reviews under section 6(4) of the Mental Health Act (2023 Revision);
hear and determine appeals made under section 9(5) of the Mental Health Act (2023 Revision) with regard to treatment orders and exercise the powers referred to in section 9(3) of that Act in relation thereto;
hear and determine appeals made under section 12(7) of the Mental Health Act (2023 Revision); and
hear and determine appeals made under section 16(4) of the Mental Health Act (2023 Revision).
