Where a registered ship or a share in the ship is transferred under section 67(l), the transferee shall not be entitled to be registered as owner of the ship until the transferee, or, in the case of a body corporate, the person authorised by this Act to make declarations on behalf of the body corporate, has made and signed a declaration (in this Act called a "declaration of transfer") referring to the ship, which shall contain —
a statement of the qualification of the transferee to own a Cayman Islands ship, or if the transferee is a body corporate, of such circumstances of the constitution and business of the body corporate as prove it to be qualified to own a Cayman Islands ship; and
a statement that, to the best of the knowledge and belief of the transferee, a majority interest in the ship is owned by persons qualified to be owners of Cayman Islands ships, and the ship is otherwise entitled to be registered.
In the application of this section to a ship which is not wholly owned by persons qualified to be owners of Cayman Islands ships, subsection (1)(a) has effect only in relation to persons who are so qualified.
