Participation in criminal activity in association with gang

A person who —
participates in or contributes to the activities of a gang knowing that any or all of the members of the gang engage in or have, within the preceding three years, engaged in the commission of a series of serious offences; or
is a party to the commission of a serious offence, for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with, a gang, commits an offence and is liable to a fine of five hundred thousand dollars and to imprisonment for twenty years.
