Whoever wilfully obstructs any person acting in the execution of this Act or regulations made thereunder, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of five hundred dollars and to a further fine of fifty dollars for each day on which the offence continues after conviction thereof.
Whoever commits an offence for which no specific penalty is provided under this Act is liable on conviction to a fine of ten thousand dollars and to imprisonment for two years and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine of five hundred dollars for every day on which the offence continues after conviction.
Any regulations may provide for a penalty on conviction for a breach thereof not exceeding the maximum provided in subsection (2).
The Chief Medical Officer may cause to be published in any newspaper —
the name of any person convicted of an offence under this Act or any regulation made hereunder;
the nature of the offence; and
the penalty imposed.
