Law not to affect the independence of Governor

Nothing in this Act shall affect the constitutional functions or independence of the Governor, that person's office or support staff.
Nothing in this Act shall be construed so as to define the Governor as a ministry or portfolio or to require that person to comply with any of the provisions of Parts 3, 4 or 5.
The Office of the Governor shall not be required to comply with sections 42 and 44, but the outputs and ownership performance of the Office of the Governor shall be included in the budget statement and the quarterly and annual reports of the Portfolio of the Civil Service prepared in accordance with those sections.
Notwithstanding subsection (3), the chief officer of the Portfolio of the Civil Service shall not be accountable, or deemed to be accountable, for the activities or the financial performance of the office of the Governor.
