Soliciting terrorist property

A person who, by any means, directly or indirectly, knowingly provides or collects property, or attempts to do so, with the intention that the property should be used or in the knowledge that it will be used in whole or in part —
in order to carry out an act of terrorism;
by a terrorist to facilitate the first-mentioned person's activities related to acts of terrorism or membership in a terrorist organisation; or
by a terrorist organisation,
An offence under subsection (1) is committed —
even if the act of terrorism referred to in subsection (1) does not occur or is not attempted;
even if the property is not —
actually used to commit or to attempt the act of terrorism referred to in subsection (1); or
linked to a specific act of terrorism;
regardless of whether the property is from legitimate or illegitimate sources; and
regardless of the country or territory in which the act of terrorism is intended to or does occur.
