Cabinet may give general directions

The Cabinet may, after consultation with the Board, give to the Office general and lawful directions in written form as to the policy to be followed by the Office in the performance of its functions and the exercise of its powers under this Act or any other Law, and the Office shall give effect to such directions.
Any direction given by the Cabinet shall be published in the Gazette but no such direction shall apply in respect of a matter pending before the Office on the day on which the directions are published.
