Functions of the Board

The functions of the Board are —
to register veterinary surgeons and animal health assistants;
to regulate the training of animal health assistants;
to appoint examiners to conduct such examinations in respect of persons applying for registration as veterinary surgeons and animal health assistants as may, from time to time, be required; and
to ensure the maintenance of acceptable standards of professional conduct by registered persons.
