Exploration and exploitation of continental shelf

Any rights exercisable with respect to the continental shelf over the continental shelf of the Islands and their natural resources for the purpose of exploring that shelf and exploiting such resources are vested in Her Majesty in right of Her Government of the Islands.
In relation to any petroleum with respect of which rights referred to in subsection (1) are exercisable, the Petroleum Law (1998 Revision) applies subject to this Law.
The Governor may, from time to time by order, designate any area as an area within which the rights referred to in subsection (1) are exercisable.
