The Governor may, by order, for the purpose of protecting any installation in a designated area, prohibit or restrict ships from entering, without the permission of the Governor, such part of the zone extending to a distance of five hundred metres around such installation as may be specified in such order.
If any ship enters any part of such a zone in contravention of an order made under subsection (1), the owner or master thereof is guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine of one thousand, five hundred dollars and to imprisonment for six months unless he proves that the prohibition was not known, and would not, on reasonable inquiry, have become known to such owner or master.
