If the accused person admits the charge, the accused person's admission shall be recorded and the court shall convict the accused person and pass sentence upon or make an order against the accused person unless, after hearing anything which may be said by or on behalf of the accused person, whether in mitigation or otherwise, there shall appear to the court to be sufficient cause to the contrary.
