The Board shall appoint, at such remuneration and on such terms and conditions as the Board may think fit, a Chief Executive Officer who shall be —
a full time officer and employee of the Authority; and
the principal executive officer of the Authority entrusted with the day to day management and administration, to the extent of the authority delegated to him by the Board.
The Chief Executive Officer shall render his services exclusively to the Authority and shall be answerable to the Board for his acts and decisions.
In the absence or inability of the Chief Executive Officer to fulfil his duties, the Board may appoint a senior employee of the Authority to discharge the duties and functions of the Chief Executive Officer during the period of his absence or disability.
