If —
a person holding public office in the Attorney General’s chambers has, at any time between 1st May, 2011 and the date of commencement of the Legal Practitioners (Amendment) Act 2011 [Law 18 of 2011], purported to exercise, on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions, any power, function or discretion of the Director of Public Prosecutions; and
the exercise of that power, function or discretion would have been valid if section 2 of that Act had been in force at the time when the power, function or discretion was exercised,
the exercise of that power, function or discretion shall be deemed to have been valid.
