Issue and endorsement of certificates by another government

The Chief Executive Officer may request the government of a country to which the Safety Convention applies to survey a ship and, if satisfied that the requirements of that Convention are complied with,
issue to the ship the certificates referred to in this Part; or
authorise such issue,
and a certificate issued in accordance with the request shall contain a statement that it has been so issued and shall have the same effect as if it was issued by the Chief Executive Officer.
