Transitional Provisions

The following transitional provisions shall apply to persons who are employees of a public authority at the date of the commencement of the Public Authorities Law, 2017 [Law 21 of 2017] —
notwithstanding section 28, if the terms and conditions or remuneration of a chief executive officer at the commencement of the Public Authorities Law, 2017 [Law 21 of 2017] are more generous than the terms and conditions or remuneration that would have been established if section 28 had applied, the existing terms and conditions or remuneration shall continue to apply to that chief executive officer; and
notwithstanding section 47, if the terms and conditions or remuneration of a staff member at the commencement of the Public Authorities Law, 2017 [Law 21 of 2017] are more generous than the terms and conditions or remuneration that would have been established if section 47 had applied, the existing terms and conditions or remuneration shall continue to apply to that staff member.
