Regulation dustbins

The Chief Environmental Health Officer may, by notice, require the owner or occupier of any building within the Islands to provide such reasonable number of covered dustbins for the reception of house refuse or garbage of such material, size and construction as the Chief Environmental Health Officer may approve.
Whoever fails to comply with a notice under subsection (1) or to maintain in good order and condition any dustbin which under that subsection that person has been required to provide, or to replace any such dustbin, when worn out, by a new dustbin of a material, size and construction approved by the Chief Environmental Health Officer, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of one hundred dollars and the Chief Environmental Health Officer may provide such dustbin, or such new dustbin, as may be required and may recover the expenses reasonably incurred by that person in so doing from the person in default.
