Notwithstanding section 28, it shall be lawful for the owner or person in charge of any public conveyance to transport at Government expense from place to place within the Islands any person suffering or suspected to be suffering from an infectious disease when required to do so by the Medical Officer of Health: Provided always that such owner or person shall observe such precautions as may be prescribed or required by such officer.
