Exclusion of liability in respect of official acts

The Registrar shall not be taken to warrant the validity of the registration of a trade mark under this Law or under any treaty, convention, arrangement or engagement to which the Cayman Islands is a party.
The Registrar is not subject to any liability by reason of having warranted the validity of a trade mark or by reason of, or in connection with, any examination required or authorised under this Law or any such treaty, convention arrangement or engagement, or any other report or proceedings consequent on such examination.
No proceedings shall lie against any member of staff of the Registry in respect of any matter for which, by virtue of this section, the Registrar is not liable.
