Where an application has been accepted and —
no notice of opposition is given within the period referred to in section 16(2); or
all opposition proceedings are withdrawn or decided in favour of the applicant,
the Registrar shall register the trade mark, unless it appears, having regard to matters coming to the Registrar's attention since the application was accepted, that it was accepted in error.
A trade mark shall not be registered unless the prescribed fees for the application are paid within the prescribed period and if the fees are not paid within that period, the application shall be considered as withdrawn.
A trade mark when registered shall be registered as of the date of completion of the filing of the application for registration and that date shall be considered for the purpose of this Law to be the date of registration.
