136. (1) A surveyor or inspector may inspect a ship of any nationality in a port of the Islands to determine whether the ship is properly provided with lights and shapes and the means of making sound signals as required by this Part.
If the surveyor or inspector finds that the ship is not so provided as required by subsection (1), the surveyor shall specify in writing the action required to rectify the deficiency and detain the ship until such deficiency is rectified to the surveyor’s satisfaction.
