144. (1) A person who has carnal knowledge of any person against the order of nature, 2 or has carnal knowledge of any animal or who permits a male person so to have carnal knowledge of that person commits an offence and is liable to imprisonment for ten years.
A person who attempts to commit an offence under subsection (1) commits an offence. [ 2 see note 2 on p. 136]
