34. (1) A person who does not pay the fixed penalty or enter a plea of “not guilty” within twenty-eight days of being served with a ticket shall attend at the Summary Court on the date specified on the ticket, which shall be no earlier than thirty-eight days after the date on which the ticket was served. The notice of the court date on the ticket shall be notice to the defendant and the prosecution of the same.
