Summary powers in cases of contempt

Without prejudice to any powers conferred upon the Court under section 11(1), the Court shall have jurisdiction to order the arrest of and to try summarily any person guilty of any contempt of the Court or any act insulting to or scandalising the Court or disturbing the proceedings thereof, and any person convicted under this section is liable to imprisonment for six months and to a fine of five hundred dollars.
For the purposes of this section, contempt of court shall include any action or inaction amounting to interference with or obstruction of, or having a tendency to interfere with or to obstruct, the due administration of justice.
