Powers of enforcement

Subject to this section, and in addition to any jurisdiction conferred by this or any other law, the Grand Court shall possess (for all purposes relating to the enforcement of judgments, orders, decrees and directions) the like jurisdiction within the Islands which is vested in or capable of being exercised in England by Her Majesty’s High Court of Justice and the Divisional Courts of that Court.
Subsection (1) is without prejudice to the generality of section 11 of the Grand Court Act (2015 Revision).
A judge of the Grand Court may, for any purpose relating to the enforcement of a judgment, order, decree or direction of the Grand Court, exercise the jurisdiction of the Grand Court relating to that enforcement.
In this section —
references in subsection (1) to Her Majesty’s High Court of Justice and the Divisional Courts of that Court are to that Court and those Divisions as constituted by the Supreme Court Act 1981 [U.K. Act] and any enactment amending, modifying or replacing that Act; and
references to a judgment, order, decree or direction shall be taken to include references to a judgment, order, decree or direction of any court (including any foreign court) which is or has become enforceable (whether wholly or to a limited extent) as if it were a judgment, order, decree or direction of the Grand Court.
